HTSI Arabic

How to Spend it Arabic

How to Spend It Arabic (HTSIA) is the Arabic edition of the Financial Times multi award-winning luxury magazine How To Spend It (HTSI), presenting stories about the most exclusive and unique fashion and lifestyle, travel, interior design trends, as well as food and drink. It is published by Elaph Media Publications in association with the Financial Times (FT).

The magazine’s Middle East launch in October 2021 marked the first time the FT’s HTSI editorial was available in Arabic, opening the door to a new audience across the Gulf and MENA region, and is currently the only joint venture the FT/HTSI has entered into.

The printed magazine is distributed in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, KSA and Morocco. HTSIA online is available throughout the world.

The Opportunity

The Saudi market is dominated by international luxury brands and a growing number of high- quality local brands, factors that make Saudi Arabia a key market for HTSIA. Elaph is, therefore, in extended discussions with a leading local publisher with a view to publishing in 2023, a Saudi specific edition of HTSIA to print and distribute a local edition with editorial drawn from both international English editions, HTSIA and local content. The publisher has extensive local experience and believes it is possible to generate significant local revenue. Additional costs will be borne by the joint venture, and leadership believe that it should be profitable from the first edition.

Elaph is also exploring other geographic opportunities that would create a portfolio of country specific editions concentrating on the Gulf and country editions for Egypt, Morocco and Kuwait.
